The choice is made according to the evaluation of the Global Development Network, World Bank affiliated development institution. The three finalists were selected in a competition of 200 projects from about 100 countries from all around the world.

     The most innovative development project for this year will be announced at the Ninth Global Development Conference scheduled for January 2008 in Brisbane, Australia.

     This project has credit line that offers small loans for reconstruction and renovation of substandard homes that is families that live in substandard conditions.
